The Differences between "Kronk's new Groove" and "The Emperor's new School" and How it Affects the Story-Line

The "Emperor's new Groove" story-line its something really complicated, and you might be asking yourself,  "How is it complicated? There is clearly a second movie and a show" but, that's exacly the problem, you see, the three of them fail to connect in a continuous line, imagine having 3 pieces of a puzzle...let's call them: A, B and C, both B and C can connect with A, but, it's impossible to connect, B and C at the same time, meaning that you can only have one connection with A at a time.
This is exacly how this story-line works, which can complicate things up since we now have to decide which piece  is more suitable to be connected with A.

If we were to order them by date of release it would look like this;

I'm aware that the plot of the show is different because the writers knew that a lot of people (specially children) whould be watching it without knowing about the original movie, "The Emperors new Goove", although the show still has a lot of references from the first movie and none from "Kronk's New Groove".

But for now, let's talk about the main four reasons why "The Emperor's new School" and "Kronk's new Groove" don't match up.

1. Is Yzma still a cat..or not?

Who would thought that this little kitty cat could cause so many problems?

In the end of the first movie, Yzma gets transformed into a cat, and we would never have known if she turns human again if we didn't get a sequel, but the problem is, in "Kronk's new Groove" she still
has cat characteristics despite being human again, but in the show she is fully human.

Which can raise a lot of questions that we will never have an aweser for are these different timelines? Universes perhaps?

2. Birdwell as a character
If you haven't watched the second movie, Birdwell is Kronk's love interest, they even get married by the end of said film.

The credits show "photos" of their "happy ever after"

But in the show she isn't mentioned once,  actually Kronk even goes on a date with Malina in one of the episodes, so it's quite odd for such a detail to get so easily ignored, but again the writers knew most of it's audience wouldn't be familiar with neither of the films.

Now you might be asking; "But casca if he gets married in the movie maybe it happens after the show instead of first?"
Well that could work.. yes... but the Cat-yzma sitiuation, sadly, debunks it, that's why I added it in the top of this very short list.

3. Kronk's age
In the original movie, Kuzco has an odd (but interesting) quote that goes like this, "He seems ..nice.. he's what, in his late tweenties?" which Yzma responds with "I'm not sure" this idea, of Kronk's apparent "unknown" age is also applied on the second movie, but on the show however, not only Kronk shares the same class as Kuzco, but also Yzma being principal, surely now knows his age.
So we can confirm that in the show, like Kuzco, Kronk is at least 18,  which is far from "late tweeties".

Which, causes a weird disconnection on how old Kronk really is.

4. Kronk's Dad

On the show, Kronk's dad lives in the same village as the pacha family with all of his family members including Kronk, this is shown in one of the episodes from the series.
But in the second movie, he comes from far away to visit his son who mentions his father as someone who he rarely sees.

Which raises the question..
----
Also I want to point out that the change of Kuzco's character, is one of the most crucial and biggest differences between the two, next to the weird (but cool) modernization of enviromments and the inclusion of new characters, the reason why I didn't include this topic in this list it's bwcause I want to make a sperate post about it. (I will add here the link if i do).

So in conclusion, where do I stand?
I highly perfer the "The Emperor's new groove + Kronks new groove" view, and although I grew up watching the show, I like to think that it's own seperated thing.
The reason for my choise is that I think the movies connect with each other very consistently.
So now, where do you stand? Do you think I forgot any crucial points? I would love to hear and debate your opinion, so don't hesitate to leave a comment!

Thank you so much for reading and have a nice week!
